What is a circle?

 
Women's circles are groups that come together to build an intimate system of support and learning. 
 
Each cohort of a Women with Resolve circle will participate in a 7-month program, beginning in August and culminating in March of the next  year. Applications are open from April 1 to June 1. Applicants are notified of acceptance on July 1. Each cohort has between 20 and 36 participants from diverse backgrounds and identities in the conservation field.

 Participant Commitment

​

  • To become a community of women who are working to support each other in the advancement of conservation.  

  • To hold space for a diverse group of women and women allies who work in conservation to connect.

  • Be present at the two in person residencies. 

  • Participate in once a month circle for the duration of the program (via phone, skype, zoom, ect) to increase capacity, discuss personal goals, challenges, questions, etc.

  • Participate in monthly webinars.

  • Prepare specific topics to share with the larger Women with Resolve community, get feedback, make connections, find allies, and become part of the support system.

 

Participant Eligibility

​

  • Identify as a woman, femme/feminine-identifying, gender queer and non-binary.  

  • Clearly articulate conservation goals and questions. 

  • Understand that there is something to be learned from professionals at all stages of their conservation career.

  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about sharing personal experiences, advice and guidance.

  • Attend the two in person residencies.

  • Have worked in conservation/environment/sustainability/social change for at least 2 years or is part of a graduate student program in one of the above fields.

  • Commit to dedicating 8 hours a month to Women with Resolve for the 7 month duration of the program.
